Watching Contador climbing Col du Galibier in almost the same time zone!
It's something I don't miss...watching Le Tour in a Sydney winter, trying to stay awake in the wee small hours.
Now back at "our" favourite farm in the Essex countryside for a few weeks. Not far from Saffron Walden, it's a convenient driving and London Underground trip to fulfil some Oscar-minding and Teddy-minding commitments, including Oscar's big Hampstead
Heath party!
Oscar Kaiser Gilpin is one year old today!
Fighting off a nasty bug no doubt picked up at Nursery, Oscar was the centre of attention at a little home celebration with his aunts, uncles and grandparents as well as his Cassland Road neighbours.
With the second last leg of the Falmouth to Fowey leg of Jane's and Tony's 35 year-long walk around the south west (Charlestown to Polkerris) nearing completion, time for lunch on the rocks. It being Tony's birthday, we celebrated with dinner at Sam's on the Beach at Polkerris.
Polkerris to Fowey was knocked off two days later.
